Taiwan and Malaysia Expand Opportunities in AI, Smart Technology, and Precision Medicine
The 2025 Taiwan-Malaysia Industrial Collaboration Summit: Smart City Sub-Forum, organized by the Administration for Digital Industries (ADI), Ministry of Digital Affairs, was held on August 21 at the Taipei International Convention Center. The forum, themed on smart city and AI digital technology applications, gathered 35 representatives from Taiwan and Malaysia, including companies, industry associations, and related professionals. The forum facilitated exchanges and cooperation between the two countries’ smart city industries through discussions, case studies, and one-on-one matchmaking, thereby helping Taiwanese companies gain insights into the Malaysian market and explore future cooperation opportunities.
The forum focused on applications in AI, smart retail, and smart healthcare, etc. Industry representatives from Taiwan and Malaysia were invited to engage in in-depth discussions on smart city applications in practice, current technological developments, and future trends across different areas. In addition, matchmaking sessions were arranged to enable participating Taiwanese companies, including imedtac, Billion Watts Technologies, THI Consultants, Advantec Innovation Technology Co., WebComm Technology, Hundred Plus, Vecow, Wave-In, Copartner, Choo Lien Enterprise Co., to connect with Malaysian companies after the forum. The matchmaking sessions fostered industry interaction between Taiwan and Malaysia, facilitated discussions on future models of collaboration, and created opportunities for collaboration.
Moreover, the organizing team contributed to fostering collaboration between Taiwan and Malaysia. During the forum, Aeolus Robotics and WLC Solutions SDN. BHD signed a partnership to launch pilot projects in robotics and expand AI applications in Malaysia’s smart environments. The two companies plan to further explore cooperation models in technology transfer, local operations training, and market expansion, thereby enhancing the level of smart development and service innovation in Malaysia.
