To promote Taiwan’s digital technology solutions and expand into overseas markets, the Administration for Digital Industries organized Taiwan Digital Day in Hanoi, Vietnam this year. The event attracted 29 Vietnamese companies and 5 Taiwanese companies, with around 50 participants. Taiwan Digital Day was held alongside the Asia DX Summit, featuring topics such as green energy transformation, e-commerce, information security, and smart applications, in alignment with the Summit’s themes.
During the event, B2B matchmaking sessions were arranged, facilitating further business discussions between Taiwanese and Vietnamese companies. To date, 9 Vietnamese companies have expressed interest in collaborating with 5 Taiwanese companies in areas including multi-factor authentication, cloud HR systems, energy management systems, and smart traffic monitoring. Early progress has been made, including FPT Vietnam negotiating an NDA with Lydsec and discussions between FPT and InSynerger Technology on a MoU. The project team plans to continue this collaboration during the Taiwan-Vietnam Industrial Collaboration Summit – Smart Cities Subforum in October, where a MoU will be signed to extend the partnership.
The program also included three official visits:
• Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) – National Digital Transformation Office: Participants learned about Vietnam’s seven priority digital transformation sectors, including healthcare, energy, natural resources and environment, industrial production, finance, agriculture, and transportation & logistics, and explored potential alignment between Taiwanese solutions and Vietnamese policies.
• FPT Information System (FPT IS): As a leading Vietnamese systems integration and digital service provider, FPT IS focuses on green economic transformation and ESG solutions. They expressed strong interest in Taiwan’s energy management and cybersecurity solutions and will arrange follow-up online meetings.
• HiPT: A well-known Vietnamese systems integrator, HiPT showed interest in Taiwan’s multi-factor authentication and energy management solutions. Both sides will evaluate market potential and agency collaboration opportunities.
The ADI stated that Taiwan Digital Day successfully facilitated Taiwan-Vietnam industrial exchanges, showcasing Taiwan’s digital technology capabilities and laying a foundation for Taiwanese companies to enter the Vietnamese market. The agency will continue to track business opportunities generated by the event, deepen Taiwan-Vietnam industrial cooperation, and promote sustainable development and mutual benefits in the digital industry.
