The 2025 World System Integrators Conference (WSIC) was held on March 19th at Hall 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Deputy Minister Lin Yi-Ching of the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of the ministry, joined by Bo-Yen Shen, Chairman of the Information Service Industry Association of R.O.C. and Vice Chairman of World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance, as guest speaker. A total of 215 representatives from domestic and international companies and industry associations attended the event, sharing insights on global trends and case studies in digital service system integration. Matchmaking sessions were also arranged to create opportunities for international cooperation among Taiwanese companies.

With the rapid global development of AI, countries are accelerating digital transformation to enhance efficiency in urban governance and industrial growth. The 2025 WSIC conference, themed "Overseas Collaboration Prospects for Smart Cities Powered by AI-Driven Digital Transformation," invited key international institutions and ICT industry associations, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Indonesian ICT Industry Association (APTIKNAS), the Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA), Thai Intelligent Transport Systems Association, the Malaysia IoT Association, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry. Through in-depth industry discussions and exchanges, the conference sought to explore new collaboration opportunities driven by AI, strengthen Taiwan’s partnerships with overseas markets, and promote the international application of smart solutions, thereby creating mutually beneficial partnerships.

Deputy Minister Lin Yi-Ching stated that Taiwan’s progress in the digital industry is widely recognized, particularly its critical role in global AI semiconductor manufacturing, as the most advanced AI chips are mostly manufactured in Taiwan. Taiwan also maintains close ties with many leading international technology companies. MODA is committed to fostering collaboration between Taiwan’s digital industry and international partners, leveraging Taiwan’s strengths in AI to create more business opportunities and enhance competitiveness in the global digital economy.

MODA supports Taiwanese companies in expanding into overseas markets by connecting upstream and downstream industry players and forming teams to bring Taiwan’s high-quality smart solutions abroad. MODA also facilitates the export of smart solutions and digital technology services by engaging with various organizations in overseas markets to help Taiwanese companies better understand the market needs. At the 2025 WSIC, Deputy Minister Lin Yi-Ching witnessed the signing of five international Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs): YC Consultants, CoCoTree Technology, International Integrated Systems, and AUO Display Plus, respectively signed with companies from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam, among others. The content covers carbon footprint verification and carbon reduction platforms, satellite imagery for carbon credit development and forest monitoring, emergency response center consulting planning, the application of smart solutions, etc. These collaborations will further advance Taiwan’s digital technologies into international markets, create cross-border business opportunities, and enhance global competitiveness.

Moreover, the conference organized a post-conference matchmaking session to assist ten Taiwanese companies in exploring potential cooperation opportunities with overseas companies and paving the way for future partnerships through one-on-one meetings.
