Thailand is actively promoting digital economic transformation, making it a key partner for Taiwan in expanding the smart city industry. To strengthen the partnership, Administration for Digital Industries (ADI), Ministry of Digital Affairs, collaborated with Taiwanese companies to host the Taiwan-Thailand Smart City Sub-Forum TTICoS and Taiwan Digital Day from September 9 to 10. A total of 44 Taiwanese and Thai companies participated, with a focus on smart agriculture, smart energy, and smart transportation, creating new opportunities for industrial cooperation.
The event opened with welcome remarks by Chatchai Khunpitiluck of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency, and Cheng Nai-Hao, Deputy Director of the Institute for Information Industry. The forum brought together representatives from Taiwan and Thailand, including 44 companies from the ICT, transportation, healthcare, and agriculture sectors.
The forum arranged Taiwanese and Thai lecturers to share insights on three topics: smart agriculture, smart energy, and smart transportation. The lecturers shared case studies and insights on technological innovation, practical implementation, and prospects for industrial cooperation, followed by in-depth exchanges with participants.
Two significant MoUs were signed during the morning main forum:
IntelliTrust Solutions partnered with Thailand Amazon International to collaborate on smart warehousing and ERP system implementation. Advmeds collaborated with Connect Diagnostics to promote community mobile healthcare and AI-powered health management services.
Taiwan Digital Day, held jointly with the Thai IoT Association, welcomed the association’s President Dr. Suthat Krongchong as the guest speaker. The event brought together 22 Thai companies and facilitated 37 business meetings. Notably, AI-RIDER and Turing Space are now actively progressing toward entry into the Thai market and will continue discussing future cooperation with the association.
